Here I am, home(?) again

My dad flew me back home to help out with the kids and get things started on the new house while he went on a "business" fishing trip in Mexico. (He says it was business, but that man would say almost anything to be able to get out on the water.) It feels strange calling this place home now. Without our house or Moose around it feels more like a strange and twisted family vacation with school and work and laundry and no Moose. Buster, my dearest dog, is alive, but old and sad and tired. The rental house is decorated in some sort of safari theme which I think is slowly driving my mother mad. Anyway, digging for the new foundation finally started, so that's good news. Here is Michael at one of his twenty baseball games we went to. He even got the team ball once!

Shhhh! This is the Blazer. It was supposed to be for Moose when he got back, but he is getting some other giant truck thing. Dad isn't supposed to still have it, but he is going to make it pretty and give it to me. Seriously, shhhhh!! Don't let my mom find out.

This is where I'll begin

I bought these shoes in Italy when I was fourteen years old for five dollars. They are my favorite. They have holes, but I refuse to throw them away. I still wear them to work sometimes. I adore them. I've bought other Converses since then, but none can compare to these.
